In 2004 I started work on the Rondavel. In the region of 600 cardboard bricks were made for this project. Each brick is split in half, each half being its own camera obscura.  With the roof on, the bricks come to life. The viewer enters a darkened space, as their eyes become attuned to the low levels of ambient light, so they become lost in a world of changing light, colour and movement.
